Article 13
DIRECTORATE FOR RESEARCH, FOREST DESIGN AND PLANTING PRODUCTION IN PEJA
1. The duties and responsibilities of the Directorate for Research, Design in Forests and seedling production are:
1.1. Conduct research and silvicultural projects;
1.2. Ensures the implementation of applicable policies and legislation in the field of forest research and design;
1.3. Monitors and prepares analyzes and reports on seedling production and afforestation as well as offers professional recommendations.
2. The head of the Directorate for Research, Designing in Forests reports to the General Director of the Forestry Agency of Kosovo.
3. Within the Directorate for Research, Projects in Forests are part of:
3.1. Research and Design Sector; and
3.2. Sector for Plant Production.
4. The number of employees in the Directorate for Forest Research, Design is ten (10).
Article 14
Forest Research and Design Sector
1. The duties and responsibilities of the Forest Research and Design Sector are:
1.1. Coordinates activities in the protection of forests from diseases, pests and other factors, as well as research and design of plans and programs in order to achieve the objective and mission of Directorate for Research, Designs in Forestry and Plant Production;
1.2. Researches and prepares analyzes and reports on afforestation methods, on methods of treating high forests and lowland forests, on diseases and insects that attack Kosovo’s forests and forest exploitation technology;
1.3. Provides advice to the forestry sector, upon request.
2. The leader of the Forestry Research and Design Sector reports to the Director of the Directorate for Research, Forestry Design and Plantation Production.
3. The number of employees in the Forest Research and Design Sector is three (3).
Article 15
Sector for seedling production
1. The duties and responsibilities of the Sector for nursery production are:
1.1. Planning the production of seedlings and drawing up the budget for seedling production,
1.2.It does the processing of the soil in all phases of the work, the preparation of the barks for planting, the mixing of chemicals for the stratification of forest seeds, the seeds are placed in the previously prepared leaves and in the cassettes, the filling of the cassettes and their sorting, they make the sale, planting seedlings in greenhouses and in open spaces;
1.3. Makes the weeding of seedlings with chemical preparations for the protection of seedlings from diseases and pests according to the prescriptions of the forestry expert;
1.4. He takes out the seedlings, tamping and loading the seedlings in the buyer’s cars, as well as leading the works in the renovation of the greenhouses.
2. The head of the Sector for seedling production reports to the Directorate for Research, Research, Design and Seedling Production.
3. The number of employees in the Sector for seedling production is five (5).
