1. The duties and responsibilities of the Legal Directorate are:
     1.1. Provides legal support in the drafting of strategic documents and the implementation of legislation in the field of activity of the Forestry Agency;
     1.2. Provides legal support for the drafting of procedures and standards related to the activities of the Forestry Agency;
     1.3. Provides legal support upon request for all other activities of the Forestry Agency of Kosovo and the Coordinating Directorates of the Forestry Agency;
     1.4. It ensures the harmonization of the legislation of the Forestry Agency with the legislation of the European Union (EU acquis) as well as with the laws applicable in the Republic of Kosovo,
     1.5. Provides legal advice and recommendations from the primary areas of the Forestry Agency;
     1.6. Cooperates with the Legal Department in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development and the Ministry of Justice for the representation of the Forestry Agency in court disputes.
2. The head of the Legal Directorate reports to the General Director of the Kosovo Forestry Agency.
3. The Legal and Services Directorate includes:
     3.1. Sector for the drafting and harmonization of legislation;
     3.2. Sector for Supervision of the implementation of legislation and legal support for the organizational structures of the Forestry Agency.
4. The number of employees in the Legal Directorate is seven (7).
