Article 16
Regional Coordinating Directorates of KFA with headquarters in: Prishtina, Gjilan, Ferizaj, Prizren, Peja and Mitrovica

1. The duties and responsibilities of the Regional Coordinating Directorates of the KFA are:
     1.1. Manages forests in the sphere of protection from biotic and abiotic factors, long-term planning and sustainable management of forests in the sphere of exploitation and concessioning of forests and lands forestry, that of forestry silviculture in private and public forests, as well as the monitoring of activities in terms of granting permits and protection from illegal activities at the regional level, as well as the coordination of these activities with the leading structures of the central and local level of the Republic of Kosovo;
     1.2. Manages and implements general development policies and strategic goals on the basis of the law and sustainable management of wood / non-wood resources and wild fauna at the level of Coordinating directorate;
1.3. Plans and coordinates activities in monitoring and identifying conflicting activities and are contrary to the law and by-laws on the sustainable management of forest, non-timber and wild fauna resources, proposes and establishes procedures for preventive measures and disciplinary for the bearers of responsibilities.
2. The leader of the Coordinating Directorate of the KFA reports to the General Director of the of Kosovo Forestry Agency .
3. The number of employees according to the Regional Coordinating Directorates is:
     3.1. The Coordinating Directorate of the KFA in Pristina has thirteen (13) employees,
     3.2. The Coordinating Directorate of KFA in Gjilan has twelve (12) employees.
     3.3. The Coordinating Directorate of KFA in Ferizaj has ten (10) employees,
     3.4. The Coordinating Directorate of the KFA in Prizren has eleven (11) employees,
     3.5. The Coordinating Directorate of the KFA in Peja has fourteen (14) employees,
     3.6. The Coordinating Directorate of the KFA in Mitrovica has ten (10) employees.
4. The Coordinating Directorates of the KFA include:
     4.1. Forestry Sector.
5. The total number of employees in the Regional Coordinating Directorates of the KFA is seventy (70).

Article 17
Forest management sector

1. The duties and responsibilities of the Forest Management Sector are:
     1.1. Organizes and monitors the performance of works according to the law on forests of Kosovo in the field of silviculture, exploitation, concessioning, protection and monitoring of public and private forests within the Coordinating Directorate;
     1.2. Maintains contacts and, according to the authorization of the Director of the Coordinating Directorate, represents him regarding the situation in the field of forests in terms of long-term, annual, operational or annual management plans for public or private forests;
     1.3. Proposes, designs and monitors activity in afforestation at the level of the coordinating directorate;
     1.4. Collects data from the field for forest protection, silviculture, and exploitation, proposes and harmonizes plans for afforestation, cutting, thinning, clearing, pre-commercial thinning, road opening new in the plots where the works will be carried out;
     1.5. Organizes and monitors the economic operators who operate with forests and forest lands, monitors their work, and controls the work of economic operators in forestry work, utilization of forests or forest protection;
     1.6. Coordinates the work with senior officials of the relevant fields for afforestation, coordinates the design of afforestation programs as well as active participation in the organization of afforestation and supervision of afforestation in the relevant municipalities and at the level of the Coordinating Directorate;
     1.7. Organizes and monitors the work with the municipal PA together with the sector engineer, forest inspector and relevant technician according to the internal organization of the PAK-DK;
     1.8. Leads and coordinates work between forestry sectors and legal or economic officials and informs the director about the situation in the field of activists in the field of works in the legal or economic field.
2. The leader of the Forest Management Sector reports to the leader of the coordinating Directorate.
3. The number of employees in the forest management sector is fifty one (51).
