The Kosovo Forestry Agency, under the leadership of the Executive Director Fidan Dema, participated in the two-day workshop organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development (MAFRD), with the aim of discussing the work plan for 2025 and the priorities of cooperation with donor-supported projects. At this event, which was chaired by the Secretary General of MAFRD, Venera Çerkini, representatives of the Kosovo Forestry Agency contributed to the presentation of activities and objectives for 2025.
A special focus was the discussion about the activities of the FAO project, which is being funded by the Swedish Embassy and the European Commission. This project is a key part of the Agency’s commitments for the development and sustainable management of forest resources in Kosovo. Participants also discussed the need for close coordination between international agencies and organizations, such as FAO, GIZ and TAIEX, to achieve the planned results for 2025.
Within these activities, the Kosovo Forestry Agency will continue to play a key role in the implementation of projects that support the sustainable development of the forest sector and the protection of biodiversity in the country. This meeting highlighted the Agency’s commitment to strengthening inter-institutional and donor cooperation to achieve the project objectives in 2025, contributing to the sustainable development of forests and environmental protection in Kosovo.
